Micha Muscus owns this 1994 Firebird. Micha writes:

"This Firebird is my first car. And for student who had just graduated (in 2001), buying such an expensive car (it cost about 13500 Euro's at the time, about 16000 dollars in today's currency) was quite problematic. But I belonged to my beloved uncle who had passed away only half a year before. I really loved the car and had driven around in it with him many times. So I just couldn't let it be sold to just anyone, I had to have it, no matter the costs. So I got a small loan and took up my savings and bought it. Now, four years later, I still love it every time I drive in it. I've always been very careful with it! Always parked it inside a garage. Always drove gently to get the engine warm, before opening up a little. Always drove gently in wet conditions. And never ever over-rev'd it!! But, I didn't buy this car to drive like a granny obviously ;-). So, when the engine is hot and traffic and speedcam gaps allow me to play a bit, I certainly punch it from time to time. I absolutely love the roar of the engine and I also love that everybody looks at you and the car when you pass them or when you punch it a bit.
The only thing that I regret about this car, is that it isn't a Trans Am. But other than that, it's a great car, with more than adequate performance! 220km/u or 135mph is feasible and 0-100km/u or 0-60mph takes about 8.5 secs, which is not bad for a car with only 150HP and a weight of 1500kg. Mine has only 32,000 miles on the odometer so far (Feb. 2005) and it is still in pristine order. It's a Targa version and it has a manual 5-speed shifter, which I like a lot. I don't want a sportscar to have an automatic gearbox, so I was really happy that this car doesn't have one ;-). It is obviously still completely stock, except for the fact that it has new, non Goodyear tires. It's on Pirelli P6000's, which I like a lot! The Goodyear GT+4 tires were great to by the way, but that tire costs about $230 dollars per tire whereas the P6000 only costs about $145 dollars. But the Goodyear tire was all around and therefore more expensive. This tire is purely performance and good traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
In the future I hope to own a black Trans Am, much like the ones I saw in the '99 yearbook section. That would really kick-ass and than I can finally eat just about everything on the road including Porsches, Audi RS2's, BMW M3's and more of those
;-). The best thing I love about this car, is that everybody who has no knowledge of cars, immediately makes way for me because they think it is extremely fast or something ;-). So great advantages to having a car like this. Most people like it or at least fear it ;-). I always enjoy myself when I'm driving in my purple friend!!"

Its been a while since I've had a submission from Australia but this '78 SE Trans Am is nice! My good friend Matman owns this TA. He writes:

"The TA is a 1978 Y84 Special Edition Trans-Am ( Pontiac History Services authenticated ) with Auto, power windows, power - tilt steering and T-Tops AND 403CI. When purchased the vehicle was in a state of dis-repair, still registered for road use but had been poorly maintained and required some TLC - general repairs to the Paintwork ( no rust in this car ), upholstery, carpets were needed and mechanicals like steering linkage items, brakes, shocks attended to and a general service and tune up worked wonders.
Decals were sourced, and the pin striping done - although not 100% correct to a purist, the car now looks as if someone cares for it - it looks and drives great - at a car show only last weekend some fellow T-A owners who knew the car from before stated "At last it looks like it's loved". And it is, I drive it most days in spite of the fuel costs. I promote Rock N Roll Shows so the T-A serves me well in my work."

Chuck MacDonald owns this bright blue Formula. Chuck writes:

"Hello, I have owned this beautiful car since I was 16 in 1992. This 88 Firebird is in beautiful shape with 125 thousand miles. The entire interior has been replaced with the best original parts I could find. The 305 TBI has been fine tuned with the K&N filter, Hooker Headers with dual exhaust and Dynomax mufflers. It also has numerous Accel upgrades and a JET high performance chip. I also have a $5000 competition JL audio stereo system. This car has been a rock. The only thing mechanically I have ever changed was the alternator. I recently had it repainted the original color and I added the formula decals. I love your website and would be honored if you would include my baby as well."

Luc Pean owns this green 1991 GTA. Luc writes:

"It took me four years to find this GTA, because few ones were exported to Europe. During this time I found three other ones, but in bad condition... then I bought two V6 Firebird (and also one for my girl friend ) to be patient! Before me, the car was bought new directly from USA by a passionate Swiss, he kept the car 14 years, until 2 years ago then I've bought it.
He did not drive the car a lot during all these years, and it's a great luck for me: it has now only 59.000 original kilometers (less than 39.000 miles)! Because of its first registration in Switzerland (out of European laws) and some arrangements I had here with the car homologation office (and lots of headaches ), the GTA stays till now in its absolute original condition. But before to make the French title, I had first to register the car in Germany, cool country, like this the car entered in Europe... and in the European laws more easily.
Something was funny: I've found this car in October 2004, but the negotiations have been long (6 months) and, in December 2004, another GTA was "on my road": same year, same color, also in Switzerland (at 20 miles to my "future mine"), with only 8 cars produced in the sequence number ! But the car was not perfect, with a little bit of "custom", and had much more miles.
Finally, I've succeeded to have the one I wanted. It was a very happy day, a big fete with champagne with my German friends where I first drove the car on the way-back home!"

Kamran Alavizadeh owns this 1978 Special Edition Trans Am and is the first member of the site from Iran. Kamran writes:

"Hi, I have the first website for Iranian Pontiac Trans Am: www.irantransam.com and have a link to your site.  I sent you some pictures from my '78 Gold SE. Its a Y88 that I found about 8 years ago in Tehran and didn't know how expensive it was till I occasionally read something about special edition Trans Ams in a website. I checked my cowl data and surprised for the words Y88 on it so I tried to restore it. So one of my friends in USA bought many parts for me from Ebay, sent them to Dubai and I smuggled them by a boat to IRAN and now I have a beautiful Y88."
