This 1969 Firebird coupe is owned by
native Frenchman Jean-Marc. This particular Firebird was actually built for delivery to
Europe. The speedometer only shows km/h rather than the US standard of mph. Jean-Marc
purchased it in April of '97, it features a 400c.i., automatic transmission, and a black
deluxe interior. Plans for future changes are some new tires and rims and a paint job. The
last picture in the set is a rendering of what the car is expected to look like after the
changes. Jean-Marc hosts his own website. Its in French but if you'd like to visit it click here. You'll find a few more pictures of his fabulous Firebird. |
I bought this car, a
PONTIAC FIREBIRD 1996 with a 3.4L V6, TARGA in August 1998 from a car dealer here in
Vienna, Austria. It's my first American car and the difference to other cars is this
head banging styling. No other European car can give you this look of muscle and power. So
now I had my first 5.000 miles with my FIREBIRD, no problems at all, just a lot of turned
heads. The FIREBIRD is a European model, that means km/h on the tachometer, has an 4-gear
automatic gearbox and the only difference from the original version is a tuned fuel
injection system and some changes made to the exhaust system which gets the car about
200 hp and a maximum speed around 140 km/h, but you must know that in Austria the maximum
speed on a highway is 80 km/h. Further changes are not planned at the moment, of course it's rather hard to get tuning parts for an American legend here in Austria, but I'll work on it. Other FIREBIRD drivers send e-mails to me at: bulls91@gmx.at |

This fantastic looking Trans Am is
owned by Adam Rehorn. His brother Lee was kind enough to send me these pics and
information. Lee writes: "This car is all original, including paint, decals and trim, and it has only 93,000 km on the odometer. Having never been winter driven, it has no rust and shines like new. Perhaps its strongest suit is the interior, which is even better than the outside. Power, of course, comes from the Turbo 301, pushing fumes through a cat-less exhaust. It has tilt steering, power windows, a noise-dampening package and the WS6 package as major options. Aftermarket accessories include rear window louvers, a Pioneer stereo and American Racing rims (with chickens in the spinners!)." E-mail: Adam Rehorn |

This
radically customized 1990 Firebird belongs to Ralf Kutting. Ralf writes: "You're right, the European cars are really boring. I think the guys from VW, Opel, Fiat etc. were trying to beat each other in making the cheapest and smallest car and forgot about the FUN that people should have while driving their cars. I'm afraid I can tell you nothing else about my car than that it was built by GENERAL MOTORS-DETROIT in 1990. I guess it's a BASE model, because it's got only about 140 hp. I've found out, that the car-saler where I've bought my FB got it from an exotic-sports-car-shop in Vienna to get people's attention - and it worked." Ralf recently finished a 2 long year make-over to completely transform what was before a nice-looking but plain 1990 Firebird into the highly customized and racy looking street cruiser it is now. Ralf writes: "Hi there! It's me, Ralf from Austria - the owner of the (formerly) red 1990 Firebird in your international gallery. As I told you before, my bird would become heavily modified with a complete body kit from a German company, and it would also get a completely rebuilt engine with a few more hp ;-). Now, after more than two years of intense work it is finally complete! These things have been changed: Super Street Front Super Street Spoiler Ground Effect Kit Modified Stingray hood scoop Modified Trans Am rear bumper M3-look side mirrors Alu pedal-set Crane Compucam K&N airfilter Pioneer soundsystem *(The whole bodykit was made by www.otp-vondracek.de) Further modifications will include: Eibach lowering kit Sports exhaust system wheel spacers front/rear I hope you'll post these new pictures on your site and maybe even keep one of the old pictures up, to show what the car looked like before all those modifications. Best regards, Ralf Kutting |
