This is a Japanese kit made by LS. It calls the Trans Am a "Super World Fighter". As is common with these kits it is motorized and also features steerable wheels. Its a 1/24 scale kit. The motor is not included and must be purchased separately. Comes molded in black. Decal set is extensive featuring what you see in the pics along with several racing decals that would be seen on a race car, a couple of license plates, an American Flag, three small bird decals, two "Firebird Trans Am" decals in cursive font, and a few others for whatever customization you'd like to add. Body is one piece and includes the basic shell, the front end, the rear end and the hood. The coolest part of the kit is the tires. It comes with a set of four real rubber slicks on custom mags. They're very low profile and wide. "1982" is printed on the box.

This is the same kit as above with a slightly different boxtop and a motor is included with the kit.

This is an MPC kit of an '82 Firebird. It comes molded in black and includes such optional parts as side pipes, roll cage, optional custom body panesl and racing wheels. The tires are BF Goodrich. In the engine compartment you can op to install a TBI system or a more aggressive looking dual turbo setup. This kit is dated 1982. No further information is available at this time...

This is an MPC kit of the customized '82 Trans Am used in the TV series "Knightrider." Other than the 2000 Knightrider model released a few years ago by AMT/ERTL that was a kit of the newly designed Knightrider car this is the only kit modeled after this very popular car. Its molded in black. Chrome includes the stock rims (as seen on boxtop) and a set of custom ones that look like the interlaced wheels that would be released in the late 80s.   You also get chrome valve covers, side pipes (not seen on the knightrider car), carburetor, and air cleaner. The chrome pieces are packaged separate from the rest of the kit in a small cello bag. The front and rear windshield and the T-Tops  are dark to simulate tinted windows. Tires included are BFG Radial TAs. A turbocharger and a flat hood are included along with the side pipes and custom wheels to customize the kit if you'd like. None of these features appeared on the real car. The body is molded and designed to resemble K.I.T.T. and the interior is also designed like the car from the TV show. The boxtop contains several pictures of the real car in action from the show. This kit is dated 1982.

This a snap-together kit of an '82 Firebird. I'm not sure what the scale is but these are usually 1/32 and its manufactured by MPC. No further information is available at this time...

This is a 1/25 scale Revell kit of a 1982 Trans Am (box identifies it as a Firebird). Its molded in black and is dated 1982. The body in the kit is designed a little differently than most. There is no T-Roof where there should be one but an open space between the windshield and the body. The window glass is all one piece and encompasses the front and rear windshields and the glass T-Tops. The model also features a nice compliment of chrome pieces for the engine and rims. The decal set is only a few bird decals of different sizes. This is consistent with this model Firebird where decals were few.
